We welcome Kylie Hensley, planner with the SLO County Department of Planning & Building as she talks about the proposed changes to the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin Maps.

Kylie will present proposed amendments to the County Land Use Ordinance and Building Code to update the maps of the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin and the Area of Severe Decline within the Paso Basin to be consistent with the Paso Robles Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).

The updated maps would change which properties are subject to County restrictions on new irrigated crops (Agricultural Offset Ordinance), the water offset fee requirement for new construction, and prohibitions on General Plan Amendments and land divisions.

The proposed amendments would also incorporate a fallowing option into the Agricultural Offset Program. The proposed amendments and an interactive map of the proposed changes are available at: https://www.slocountywwcp.org/prgwb
